Motions passed at the Board meetings Feb 2004 to Feb 2006
 

Jan 18, 2006 -Susan: motion Joyce offers copies of newsletter by email to those members who wish it that way, and the member may contact her to have it by email Charlie second- all Board members voted in favour  - The Newsletter Editor to post this information in the next newsletter

Jan 18, 2006 - Rescue Guidelines were officially adopted and voted in by all Board Members present .A copy will be posted on the rescue page of the website.  It is understood that the guidelines will changed as needed over time.

Jan 18, 2006 - Specialty to be held in Brockville in 2006 and in Edmonton in 2007

Next meeting date of the new Board for 2006 has not been set yet

May 2005 - Judy Murphy replaced Benoit Bouchard on the Board -

Motion: to remove the unpaid members from the Membership List and they must apply to rejoin as per the Constitution and By- laws. Moved by Joyce Bernhardt - 2nd by Susan. All present agree

Discussion about giving out awards to members for gaining a title on their schip - no further action taken on the matter as the Board could not come to an agreement

Discussion of offer by Charlie Veillon to have plaques created with the SCC logo to give out as awards at the Specialties - BB, BOS, BP and HIT.  This was  implemented for the 2005 Specialty in Vernon BC

August 2005 - Charlie Veillon replaced Joan Federow on the Board due to her resignation-Motion to have Secretary write a letter on behalf of the Board to accept Joan's resignation with regret

Discussion on vet expenses on a rescue dog and what guidelines were to be set up - Motion was made that the Rescue Committe study and present guidelines for Rescue Adoption and present to the Board (no action taken until 2005)

Motion was made and accepted that the members in good standing of the SCC are able to have their own personal web pages added to the SCC website. Diana would set this up. Cost would be $20.00 a year for hosting and a one time set up fee to Diana of $10.00 for her time as this is above and beyond Diana's duties as webmaster.  All in favour and passed (note, to date no member has accepted the offer)

Discussion brought forth by Joan Federow about the cost of shipping trophies back and forth each and the possibility of having duplicates done. Discussion was tabled to a future date.

Feb 13, 2004 - a Rescue Committee was formed with a separate Bank account

Web hosting for the SCC website - costs to be reimbursed to Diana Kinnear by the SCC

A motion to make a donation to the MPS 3B research was made and withdrawn to be revisited after the 2005 specialty (no further action was taken on this motion)

Motion that there be a change to membership applications - where only 2 signatures of members in good standing are required and not sponsorship letters

June 2004 - motion made for Marion Postgate to look into having the club videos formatted onto DVDs.  This was passed, no further action has been taken on this

October 2004 - discussion on membership code of ethics, optional tail docking issue, revised Constitution has been completed
